“The politicians are not taking enough notice, the media are not giving enough focus, the Charities & NGO’s have lost their bite, it’s time people really started to talk with passion & anger again about why we need to protect animals and the natural world.”
Welcome to Off the Leash a weekly podcast from environmental and animal welfare campaigners, Dominic Dyer and Charlie Moores where we raise the inconvenient truths, hold the decision-makers to account and generate enough anger & concern to get us off our sofas and standing up for this precious planet we all call home…
Dominic is a high-profile wildlife protection and animal welfare campaigner and is often found behind a megaphone at marches and rallies.
He is a trustee of the Wildlife and Countryside Link, Policy Advisor for the Born Free Foundation, and was Chief executive of the Badger Trust from 2013 to 2020.
Dominic is the author of ‘Badgered to Death, The People and Politics of the Badger Cull’ and is renowned for being able to talk about pretty much anything he cares about without having to draw breath.
Charlie is a podcaster, blogger, and campaigner who never knowingly under-thinks anything.
He has interviewed – usually politely and respectfully – literally hundreds of activists, researchers, and authors on issues from wildlife crime and pesticide overuse to biodiversity loss and animal sentience.
A life-long birdwatcher, Charlie is a former trustee of the League Against Cruel Sports, co-ordinates The War on Wildlife Project, and even at this late stage in his life he still thinks he can help to save the world.
